Year 7
Year 7 is the start of the Crescent Pathways secondary pathway. Students move into a more focused Key Stage 3 structure, with Core subjects and Additional Subjects.
Level-based learning
For Qur'an and Arabic, students are placed according to their level rather than simply their age or year group.
This allows children to learn at the right pace and receive more suitable support. All academic subjects are built around the English National Curriculum, while Crescent Pathways carefully considers how content is taught within an Islamic framework.
This year helps students adjust from primary-style learning into secondary study. There is more emphasis on subject depth, independent work, written responses, reasoning and preparation for future GCSE-level learning.
