Year 1
Year 1 is the beginning of the Crescent Pathways learning journey. At this stage, children are introduced to structured online learning in a gentle and supportive way, helping them build confidence, routine and early learning habits.
Level-based learning
For Qur'an and Arabic, students are placed according to their level rather than simply their age or year group.
This allows children to learn at the right pace and receive more suitable support. All academic subjects are built around the English National Curriculum, while Crescent Pathways carefully considers how content is taught within an Islamic framework.
This year focuses on the foundations: early literacy, number confidence, curiosity about the world, basic Islamic beliefs, manners, Qur'an and Arabic. The aim is not to overwhelm young learners, but to help them settle into a safe, values-led learning environment from home.
