Enrollment

  • We currently offer education for children aged 5 and above, starting from Year 1 through to GCSE level (Years 10 and 11).

This can be in the form of a utility bill, bank statement, or other official document dated within the last 3 months. Alternatively, you may provide a copy of your driving license or council tax bill.

Education

  • Crescent Pathways follows a blended approach to learning, bringing together the strengths of online education and home schooling. This model includes live lessons delivered by qualified instructors, allowing for real-time interaction and meaningful engagement. Alongside this, students are encouraged to take part in self-reading and independent projects, helping them build critical thinking skills and a sense of responsibility for their own learning.

Practical, hands-on activities and collaborative assignments give students the chance to apply what they learn and work alongside their peers.

In addition, parental involvement in certain activities provides an added layer of support and contributes to a balanced and supportive learning experience. This blended approach is designed to accommodate different learning styles while offering a flexible and effective educational environment.

  • For more details on the curriculum and to know precisely what your child will study during the year, visit our Curriculum and Year Groups sections.

  • If a student will be absent from class, parents can notify us via the Parent Portal.

Students can catch up on any missed work using the resources uploaded by their teacher to the Learning Management System (LMS).

If further support is needed, students may also contact their teachers directly via the LMS for additional guidance.

  • All lessons are taught live and are not recorded.

By attending classes according to their timetables, students can interact with their teachers and classmates through video, audio, and text.

  • There are no more than 15 students per class.

  • While attending lessons is highly recommended, we understand students may not be able to attend every class. If a student is unable to attend a class, he/she can catch up using the uploaded resources, and may contact their teacher for direct support.

  • At Crescent Pathways, our digital classroom environment is carefully structured to minimise behavioural issues, disruptions, and distractions. Teachers are able to limit a student’s chat or microphone access during lessons where necessary. In addition, instructors may place students in separate breakout rooms to address behavioural concerns and resolve matters after class.

All students are made aware of the rules and controls in place, helping to maintain a positive and respectful learning environment for everyone. This approach is particularly beneficial for students who may have experienced bullying in the past, as it helps ease their concerns and supports a safe and reassuring space for learning.

  • For more details, visit our Year Groups and click on the year group you want to know more about.

  • While Crescent Pathways is not equipped to provide specialised support for students with learning difficulties, many students find that the online schooling format suits their learning preferences. For example, having ongoing access to lesson resources allows students to work at a pace that is comfortable for them.

  • As part of our commitment to effective learning and safeguarding, students are expected to have their cameras switched on and to use their microphones during live lessons in order to participate and engage with the class.

Exceptions may be granted only where a parent has formally requested an exemption for specific reasons, such as safeguarding or wellbeing concerns.

  • In relation to Arabic and Qur’aan lessons, students are appropriately placed according to their levels rather than their age groups.
